Inclusive Business Sweden

Headline

Inclusive Business Sweden works with the private sector to scale innovative and inclusive business models in developing markets.

Description

We engage and support organisations in developing sustainable, innovative and inclusive business models with the so-called “base of the pyramid” (BoP) – the 4.5 billion people who live on less than $8 a day. Since 2013, we have been working towards our goals by delivering collaborative programmes and direct business services, both locally and globally. At Inclusive Business Sweden, we are making it our business to end poverty.
IBS serves as a platform for the acceleration of inclusive business initiatives across Sweden as well as globally. We deliver this through three lines of business – ecosystem management, business services and collaborations for development. We have delivered programmes for and with our clients and partners including Sida, the Asian Development Bank, the European Union, Unilever, IKEA, Vinnova, Nordic Innovation, Research Institutes of Sweden, Startup Foundation and the Stockholm Environmental Institute – just to name a few.
To date, we have worked to have impact across 13 countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Asia, and enabled over 80 businesses through our programmes.
In addition to the services we provide, we have organised and facilitated events and trainings across multiple sectors involving business, civil society, academia and government. Our annual flagship event, the Inclusive Business Forum, which has been running since 2013, continues to drive the inclusive business arena in Sweden while strengthening global collaborations.
